Elite X Magazine highlights Dr Felicity Baker as a standout HR leader in their 2025 edition, celebrating her pioneering work placing mental health at the heart of HR practice.

As a busines we were very proud of the work we do. Felicity was thrilled to receive this accolade and to be identified as a prominant HR leader to follow in 2025. This is what they said:
Championing HR Professionals’ Mental Health: Dr Baker draws attention to the emotional toll HR roles entail—secondhand trauma, ethical dilemmas, constant high stakes—but notes that many in the profession lack access to dedicated mental health support. Yet they're often expected to be the wellbeing champions in their organisations.
Introducing HR Supervision: Drawing from decades of practice as a clinical psychologist , Dr Baker and Dr Jo Burrell have developed “HR Supervision,” an evidence-based reflective support model adapted from healthcare supervision. This initiative offers HR practitioners a safe, non-judgmental space to process emotional challenges, build resilience, and prevent burnout.
Leading Insight and Change: In collaboration with Towergate Employee Benefits Dr Baker’s designed and reported on, Ultimate Resilience's HR Mental Wellbeing Survey 2025, which reveals nearly half of HR professionals report symptoms of depression or anxiety—well above general population averages. Her advocacy promotes early intervention, structured emotional supervision, and systemic change in workplace wellbeing practices.
Amplifying Support Through Research & Thought Leadership: Dr Baker is actively gathering input through surveys to better understand HR mental health needs and using the insights to guide resource development and policy. She’s also working on a pioneering book to demystify HR supervision and outline its value to the profession.
Why being identified as a prominant HR leader matters:
Dr Felicity Baker is reshaping how organisations support HR professionals—moving from token appreciation to structured, sustained, psychologically safe support systems. Being identified as a prominant HR Leader for this work helps to raise awareness of our HR supervision and to elevate it from an established healthcare intervention into a transformative tool for HR wellbeing.
