People Management Magazine: the cost to organisations lacking in 'soft skills'

Dr Jo Burrell was thrilled to have contributed to this piece in People Management magazine focusing on the importance of ‘soft skills’ to workers and organisations.


These are skills not often discussed or nurtured within workplaces. And yet, a report conducted by social enterprise Skills Builder Partnership found that people with these essential skills earn on average an extra £4,600 a year.


Managers who use soft skills have also been shown to positively impact employee engagement and business performance.
