Situation

We have a long-standing relationship with The University of Nottingham, having first delivered our Essential Resilience training programme in 2013. The University has placed high value on these workshops and run them several times a year. Staff members largely self-select, although on occasion have been recommended by managers or Occupational Health.

Task

The University has been particularly interested in maximising learning and long term gains for its staff. They have commissioned the workshop package and further group coaching sessions for participants. Staff attend from all disciplines across the organisation.

Action

We provided a package of Essential Resilience training to staff in all roles across the organisation, which included group coaching sessions to support lasting learning and development.

Result

Outcomes for attendees include significant improvements in resilience and wellbeing. Over the first 6 years to 2019 our routine outcome measures show 83% of participants report increases in resilience. 91% of participants report increases in wellbeing.
